Subsidized accommodation in student dormitories
Pursuant to Article 88(4) of the Act on Scientific Activities and Higher Education (Narodne novine Nos. 123/03, 105/04, 174/04, 2/07 - Decision of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia, 46/07, 45/09, 63/11, 94/13 and 139/13, 101/14 - Decision and Order of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia, 60/15 - Decision of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia and 131/17), the Minister of Science and Education adopts the Ordinance on the criteria and way of exercising the right of full-time students to subsidised accommodation (Narodne novine No. 63/19).
The right to subsidised accommodation in student dormitories, boarding houses, as well as subsidies for students who rent apartments from private owners, is granted to full-time students who are Croatian citizens or EU citizens with a registered address in the Republic of Croatia and an approved non-national status with a permanent residence in the Republic of Croatia, who are enrolled at a higher education establishment in the Republic of Croatia in an undergraduate university study programme, graduate university study programme, integrated undergraduate and graduate university study programme, short-cycle professional study programme, undergraduate professional study programme and specialist graduate professional study programme, or, in the case of students with disabilities, in postgraduate university study programme, in accordance with the prescribed terms and conditions and on the basis of public calls announced by the student centres for each academic year.
