Horizon Europe is a leading Union programme for research and innovation for the period from 2021 – 2027 with the total budget of around 95.5 billion EUR. Programme will support creating and spreading high quality knowledge and technologies, strengthening the impact that research and innovation have on development and support to new innovative solution in industry and society for dealing with global challenges. Focus has been put on supporting all forms of innovation, including breakthrough, introducing innovative solutions to the market and optimizing Programme results for stronger impact in empowered European Research Area.
Minister of Science and Education, Professor Radovan Fuchs, PhD, and Commissioner for innovation, researcher, culture, education and youth, Mariya Gabriel, along with the Director of Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes, Antonija Gladović, will have the welcoming address. A plenary session on topic of the role that research and innovation have in supporting the empowering and better resilience of the Union will follow where, along with representatives of Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds and Professor Stipan Jonjić, PhD, as a representative of scientific community, Director-General of the Directorate General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission, Jean-Eric Paquet.
Representatives of the European Commission will present the main elements and activities of the Horizon Europe along with the key novelties in relation to missions, partnerships, European Innovation Council and financial novelties. Presentation of the national support system to the Horizon Europe participation by the representatives of the Ministry of Science and Education and Agency for Mobility and EU programmes will follow.
