As part of the Erasmus+ project
Peer Learning Activities and Resources to underpin the Principles and Guidelines for Social Dimension - PLAR-U-PAGs, a virtual peer learning activity was held on 13-14 June 2023 on the topic of the principles and guidelines for improving the social dimension of the European Higher Education Area.
The event is the third peer learning activity in a row, following those held in Zagreb in November 2022 and in Ghent, Belgium, in February 2023.
A two-day programme included topics related to the four principles: linking inclusiveness policies throughout the entire education system, from pre-school to adult education, effective student counselling and guidance with a focus on mental health, strengthening the capacity of higher education institutions for diversity and inclusiveness, and social engagement of higher education institutions.
A total of 37 participants from 13 countries of the European Higher Education Area took part in the event. The event was attended, among others, by the representatives of the Croatian Ministry of Science and Education, the National Group for Enhancing the Social Dimension of Higher Education, and the Institute for the Development of Education and the University of Rijeka.
The project coordinator is the Ministry of Education and Training of Flanders, while the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia, the European Student Union (ESU), the Support Centre Inclusive Higher Education (SIHO) and the Institute for the Development of Education (IRO) in Zagreb participate as project partners.
