The Ministry of Science, Education and Youth of the Republic of Croatia is host to the seventh edition of the Education Policy Reform Dialogues (EPRD, or “the Dialogues”), an OECD forum that is held on 25-26 November 2024 at the National and University Library in Zagreb, Croatia.
Each year, senior education policy makers from OECD member countries come together to discuss and learn from peers about the design, development and effective implementation of education policies on a topic that helps countries take practical steps towards implementing the 2022 Ministerial Declaration on Building Equitable Societies Through Education.
The theme of this year’s Dialogues is teachers and effective education policies to attract, retain and empower teachers, particularly in a world influenced by generative artificial intelligence (AI). On that occasion, Minister Fuchs emphasized that Croatia shares the OECD's commitment to high-quality education and recognizes the key role teachers play in this process. He also presented the Ministry's key reforms and activities aimed at improving the status and position of teachers.
