The Central European Research Infrastructure Consortium (CERIC-ERIC) has announced a new call for project proposals.
CERIC-ERIC provides scientists with access to more than 60 instruments and laboratories across 11 countries, offering diverse yet complementary state-of-the-art techniques for research in all fields of materials, biomaterials, and nanotechnology. Access to CERIC is open to researchers worldwide and is free of charge, provided that the results and collected data are made available in accordance with CERIC’s
Scientific Data Policy. Furthermore, a single proposal can request access to several instruments, with support for mobility.
Application Deadlines:
- March 3rd 2026 (17:00) - preliminary evaluation with the possibility to improve the proposal
- March 31st 2026 (17:00) - final submission (recommended for experienced users)
Upgrades and Maintenance:
- Elettra 2.0 - starting July 2025, the installation of the new Elettra synchrotron version has begun, and access to existing beamlines at this facility will be temporarily suspended.
- Ruđer Bošković Institute - the Croatian ion facility is undergoing a major upgrade to the accellarator bulding and is expected to be fully operational by the end of the year; therefore, accepted proposals will be performed at the earliest starting from the end of 2026.
