Position paper of the Republic of Croatia on the future Framework Programme for Research and Innovation - FP10
The Ministry of Science, Education and Youth has preprared a position paper on the future Framework Programme for Research and Innovation - FP10.
Position paper is the result of a longer process that included public consultations through which the Ministry received opinions from a significant number of stakeholders from the scientific research system, as well as from the private sector, on the main objectives, principles, structure, instruments and activities to be changed, implemented, resolved or harmonised by the future Framework Programme for Research and Innovation from 2028 to 2034. In addition to the aforementioned public consultations, the Ministry held interservice consultations for the purpose of harmonisation on a national level.
The Framework Programme for Research and Innovation - Horizon Europe, as well as its predecessors, is the backbone of Europe's research and innovation policy, which contributes to maintaining and strengthening European values and the Union's global reputation as a free and open market economy. The Republic of Croatia is continuously growing its participation in the framework programmes of the Union and aims to continue with the positive trend and growth of participation.
The initial legislative proposal of the future Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, prepared by the European Commission, is expected in the summer of 2025, and with this position the Republic of Croatia enters into engaging with other Member States and the Commission preceeding the publication of the FP10 proposal.
