State Secretary Iva Ivanković, PhD, actively participated in the meeting of the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) Education Policy Committee, which took place from April 10th to 11th, 2025, in Paris.
The main topics of discussion on April 10th were the progress report on the Global Forum on the Future of Education 2040 (E2040) project, an exchange of views on possible outcomes and preparations for the next EDPC ministerial meeting, and a preview of the forthcoming OECD AI Capability Indicators.On April 11th, a presentation and panel debate were held on the "Starting Strong VIII" publication concerning reducing inequalities by investing in early childhood education and care. Insights were shared on how different education systems support lifelong learning and skills development for the green transition of societies and labor markets, and a discussion took place on the preliminary findings and experiences of countries regarding school abscence problems.
State Secretary Ivanković presented the Ministry's key activities aimed at reducing inequalities in early childhood education and care, and discussed the challenges, legislation, and practices related to school abscence.
