The final conference of the BWSE FORward – Bologna with Stakeholders Eyes for a Stronger Future of the Bologna Process project held
The project coordinator is the European Student Union, with the Croatian Ministry of Science and Education as project partner, along with the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia, the National Commission for Further and Higher Education of Malta, the European University Association (EUA), the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and the European Association of Higher Education Institutions (EURASHE).
The main goal of the project was to conduct research and to produce a publication entitled Bologna with Students Eyes (2020) for more effective further development of the Bologna Process and the European Higher Education Area. In addition, a final report entitled Bologna Process Commitments: A Way Forward was presented, which is the result of two peer learning activities carried out in 2021 on internationalization and mobility, recognition of prior learning, stronger student participation in the bodies of higher education institutions and internal quality assurance, as well as student-centered learning and teaching.
The conference also focused on transcontinental mobility and internationalization, gender equality and quality assurance, the European Universities, vulnerable and underrepresented groups of students, as well as other topics. The conference was attended by Ana Jerković, project coordinator from the Croatian Ministry of Science and Education, and Sanja Žaja Vrbica, head of the National Group for Enhancing Social Dimension of Higher Education in Croatia and Vice-Rector of the University of Dubrovnik. The conference finalised the two-year BWSE FORward project, and a new cycle of the project Bologna with Stakeholders' Eyes for an Innovative, Inclusive and Interconnected EHEA by 2030 (BWSE FOR2030) will begin in June 2022. The Croatian Ministry of Science and Education is also a partner in the new project, with ESU as coordinator, and other partners being the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science of the Netherlands, the Ministry of Education and Science of Northern Macedonia, as well as EUA, EURASHE and ENQA.
