Workshop on innovations in higher education within the framework of the BWSE FOR2030 project
The BWSE FOR2030 project implements three Peer Learning Activities (PLAs) with the aim of bringing together the ministries of education, higher education institutions, educational experts, student organizations and other stakeholders, which will result in recommendations on three related goals stated in the Rome Communiqué: 1) inclusiveness, 2) innovation and 3) connection of the European Higher Education Area. The purpose of this event was to focus on mutual learning and exchange of practices, identifying potential solutions to existing obstacles to innovation in European higher education, and collecting recommendations for long-term support of innovative processes in the Bologna Process. The first workshop was held in The Hague, the Netherlands, on 16-17 February 2023, and the third will be held in June 2023.
The event was attended by 30 participants from 16 countries of the European Higher Education Area, and the two-day programme covered topics related to innovations in higher education, the application of information and communication technologies and digital tools in learning and teaching, the connection of higher education, science and research with the real sector and society, as well as innovative pedagogy. The programme also inculded a visit to the Rimac Automobili facilities.
The project's coordinator is the European Student Union (ESU), and the project partners are the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the European University Association (EUA), the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA ) and the European Association of Higher Education Institutions (EURASHE).
